I was looking for a decent breakfast around Kitchener area and I was so glad that I've found this place! Golden Hearth Bakery is located just a few minutes from the Kitchener Farmers Market and my favourite vintage store in the area, White Tiger Vintage :)
Inside the store - there was no AC and it was pretty humid but then you go there only to go in, buy, and get out. I wish they also sell coffee, though.
I bought a butter croissant for $2.25 and it was the best croissant I've tasted so far! It's flaky, with a little crunchiness on the outside and a bit chewy on the inside. One of the reviews on Tripadvisor even said it was the best croissant she has ever tasted outside of France. I haven't been to France before but it certainly is on my to-go list since forever!!! *le sigh*

I'll be back for sure to taste their other flavours, pain au chocolat, and their homemade bread! They also supply their pastry to some places, you can find the list here.
