It was one good sunny day at downtown Kitchener so I decided for a walk in the morning and afternoon :) Starting from grabbing a cup of coffee, breakfast, snack, then lunch at my favourite Mexican restaurant, Holy Guacamole!

Spotted this cute street on my way to Kitchener Market :)

Cute coffee cup :)

Pain au chocolat from Golden Hearth Bakery

Waiting for my pupusa. It was made fresh on the spot YUM!! $3.50 for a pupusa - not bad for an afternoon snack ;)

Got the naked chicken burrito (burrito without the tortilla). My fav lunch spot in Kitchener!

Milton Farmers' Market is located in downtown Milton. The road is closed (by firetrucks) just for the market. We went there last Saturday morning and we had so much fun! They sell the freshest vegetables and fruits, lots of plants, knick knacks, meat, artisan products, and so much more! It was my first visit to farmers' market and I can't wait to explore different ones haha!

Cute succulents

Must-have peameal bacon sandwich! But beware of the line-up :(

These ornaments were made from walnut shells! So cute!!

We got to spot the queen bee!!!

They also sell award-winning goat cheese! :o

We decided to try Da Dong Roast Duck (北京大董烤鸭店) despite Quanjude's good reviews on Tripadvisor. We were told by the locals that Quanjude is more famous around lao wai (foreigners) because of their ducks' fat level. On the other hand, the locals like Da Dong because the ducks' skin is crispy and contains less fat. I like crispy. And I don't like fat lol. It was an easy decision :)

This was definitely a splurge during our trip. It wasn't cheap but you must try Beijing duck while in Beijing!

Tips: In case you get lost, mention "kao ya" when asking for directions. Usually people around the restaurant know where it's located :)

Complimentary clementines + really good black sesame dessert (not pictured)

Okay, who doesn't love fried chicken and waffles???
Imagine you're having a good crunchy, crispy, tender fried chicken.
Now imagine you're also having a warm and fluffy waffle.

And here comes the twist....
Imagine having the waffle topped with the fried chicken!!!

My mouth just got watery just thinking about this :o

Located in Kensington Market, the Dirtybird is a wonderful addition to the list of great restaurants in Kensington. Like many other restaurants in Toronto, the place is tiny with limited seating. The portion is big (we ordered two dishes for four of us). Unfortunately, we didn't get the chance to try their dessert :( but it gives us a reason to go back there again YUM YUMMM

Good ol' maple syrup and hot sauce (in mustard container)

This is one of my favourite sushi place in Mississauga. They have the best Spider Roll and very fresh sashimi!

Their location is hidden in a plaza on Bristol Road, you probably would not know this place unless you live near here. As you can tell from the picture, the place is really small, so sometimes you will need to wait a bit before they finally seat you.

I have been a regular for about 10 years and they keep everything the same: same decor, food quality, even the sushi chef is the same. The price is a bit on the pricier side but you will get what you pay for :)

Complimentary cinnamon tea after your meal :)
