Soi Thai Street Food is not your typical Thai restaurant. As their name suggests, they only serve Thai street food, so you won't find any curries or Pad Thai here. Instead, you will find skewers, Som Tam (green papaya salad), chicken wings, etc .

The interior tries to mimic the 'Soi' (Thai for side street) vibe, which I think they did a really good job. The owners also brought in some bits of snacks from Thailand which I think it's very cute.

We went there around 5-6pm on a Sunday and we were the only one there. We ordered Stir Fry Morning Glory, Som Tam, Chicken Wings, Khai Krata Song Krung (ground pork with fried eggs), shrimps with garlic, steamed rice (they also have sticky rice), and Thai milk tea - which was overly too sweet. I've added a glass of water to make it less sweet but it was still too sweet for me...

Overall, the food was okay... I liked the Stir Fry Morning Glory and Khai Krata Song Krung the best. I mean, what could get wrong with pork and eggs! The shrimps with garlic were too garlic-ky for me and some of the chicken wings were raw. We mentioned that to the waiter and a few minutes later, the owner (I think) came back to us with more (double portion) chicken wings and she made sure that won't happen again. I think it was pretty nice of her. We noticed that they divided the outer part of wings into two and the inner part (drumstick look-alike) was bigger and has more meat - so if cooked together, the outer smaller part is done while the drumstick-part needs more time to cook...Hope it makes sense lol.

Did I mention the waiter also gave our dog a bowl of water to drink? He really made sure that we got the best service.

I'm a big fan of easy and healthy breakfast as I usually don't have time to eat until I reach my office. Yes, I'd prefer to sleep in lol. This really simple breakfast is my go-to whenever (read: almost everyday) I don't have time or too lazy to make breakfast.

What I like the most about this recipe is that it keeps me full until lunch!

To make this, you will need:
  • Kefir or yogurt
  • Avocado
  • Almonds
  • Chia seeds (optional)
  • Honey (optional)

Simply pour the kefir or yogurt over an empty bowl, put in your avocado, almonds, and chia seeds (not in the picture because I ran out of these booo). You can also add some honey if you wish to sweeten the kefir/yogurt :)

Yes, avocado is good fat and is good for you! Source: Pinterest

Kefir (or yogurt), avocado, and almonds. Add chia seeds, too, if you'd like!

Cut the avocado into half, scoop it out onto an empty bowl. Add the kefir.

 Add the almonds.

And voilà ! your breakfast is ready! :)

This yummy goodness is full of probiotic (kefir), good fat (avocado), and calcium (almonds). Sometimes I also eat this to detoxify my body after one full weekend of pigging out LOL

Whenever I travel, I always buy some snacks before I go home.... I think they make travel memories last longer - I usually munch these at work to escape from a real world (haha), and let's get real, who doesn't love food? :D Some of my favourite snacks to buy are Lays and Pocky...chocolates, candy, delicacies, anything really! LOL
Lays: Sweet Basil, Hot Chilli Squid, Scallop

Lays: Spicy Nori, Lime & Ginger & Thai dish?

I love seaweed!!! I first tried these fried seaweed snacks called Tao Kae Noi from T&T Supermarket. It became my favourite snacks while watching movies in theatre (sneaked these inside my purse lol). I knew these snacks were originated from Thailand so I had to get a lot of these while I was there HAHA. I also ate this for breakfast almost everyday while I was there :p It is so good that the maker of these seaweed snacks is now a billionaire.

I think they have most of the flavours here in Canada, except the Curry Crab flavour...
Tip: Get the XL size at Seven Eleven. You're welcome ;)

L-R: Thai milk tea (please also order real ones at restaurants, they're so YUMMY!), milk candy, green curry instant noodle, cookies and cream Pocky, chocolate banana Pocky, and Milo chocolate nuggets.

Honorable mention: the oh-so-good green curry instant noodle (pictured above). I think the brand of this noodle is called MAMA. They sell the Tom Yum and Shrimp flavours instant noodle here in Canada but that's about it. They have TONS of flavour in Thailand. If you haven't tried these, you're missing out lol. I'm not a big fan of instant noodles anymore (trying to cut them for health reasons), but my mouth is watery everything I think about this flavour haha.

That's about it you guys, I hope I can travel soon again to buy snacks! :D :D :D
Guysss! I have finally found my favourite sunscreen!!! I got this on my recent Japan haul and it was worth every penny ;)

I didn't realize how important wearing your sunscreen everyday until I got a really bad sunburn last year. When I say really bad, picture bubbly and peeling skin! It even hurts to shower, raise my arms and not to mention wearing deodorant ughhh! The worst thing is that I developed a few dark spots a few weeks/months afterwards and I'm still battling a war with these horrid dark spots :(

Anyways, back to this sunscreen :D
The formula of this Biore Aqua Rich is very lightweight, spreads and absorbs easily - perfect for my oily skin! The price is also not too bad - $10 or around $11 on Amazon.

It has gel-like consistency and it doesn't leave a white cast.

I will be repurchasing this sunscreen once it runs out but I'll only use this for a daily basis only as it's not water resistant. I'll use my Shiseido sunscreen when I know I'll be in contact with water. The other con of this sunscreen is that it has alcohol in the ingredients so if don't buy if you're allergic.

If you haven't been to a Hello Kitty Cafe before, you have to try to go to one! I'm not the biggest Hello Kitty fan but the whole experience made me feel like a little girl in a candy store :D Although the food wasn't great at all, they had good lattes! So if you were planning to go here, I suggest you to have lunch somewhere else and only order drinks here.

How cute are those pink chairs with little bows on them!

We ordered a Mango combo (includes Mango Crepe Cake and Mango soda which came in Hello Kitty plastic container that you can bring home ), Cafe Latte, and Iced Latte.

L-R: Mango Crepe Cake with mango sauce, Cafe Latte.

L-R: Mango soda, Iced Latte.

I got this peel-off mask from my recent haul in Tokyo's Narita Airport. I was looking for a peel-off mask to get rid of the oh-so annoying blackheads. This was the only stock left so I thought it must be pretty good...

Packaging reminds me of Daiso's mask.

Solid black liquid with surprisingly pleasant smell!

It's not really solid black when applied, though.

After around 20 minutes or so, it started to peel-off by itself...

I tried it using on my face a few times. All in all, similar to other peel-off masks, it's not messy at all to use, get rid of (some) dead skins and black/white heads. I would not repurchase, though (not that I can anyway). For around $10, I feel like it's better to spend the money somewhere else haha!
